USA Junior Basketball Tours 2006/07

Wagner College (D1) Men finish with 2-4 record on tour

NCAA Division One College, Wagner completed a very successful tour to Sydney in August competing in 5 games against NBL pre season teams and 1 game against the Sydney Comets who were preparing for the National ABA Championships.

In a tough schedule, Wagner College finished 2-4 with wins against the Sydney Kings and Wollongong Hawks.

Saint Anselm College (D2) return to the USA with a 2-3 record

Last month, Saint Anselm College from Manchester New Hampshire completed an exciting tour to Sydney and Canberra and recorded 2 wins and 3 losses. The Hawks are building a reputation for their excellent shooters and did not disappoint the spectators at the games.

College of Saint Rose (D2) record 4-1 during Sydney Tour

College of Saint Rose, located in Albany New York are ranked 13th on the NCAA II All-Time Winningest Teams. The Golden Knights completed their 9 day tour with Horizons Sporting Events with 5 close games (all under 15 points) and a 4-1 record.

Horizons Sporting Events prepares with 19 teams touring USA

Horizons Sporting Events specialises in providing the complete basketball package which includes competition against the USA High Schools. During December and January, Horizons will send 19 teams across to the USA for competition and an exciting tour experience.

Following is the list of schools and associations currently preparing for their tour with Horizons at the end of this year:

* Frankston Blues, Melbourne VIC.
* Melbourne Tigers, Melbourne VIC.
* Mornington Breakers, Melbourne VIC.
* Perry Lakes Hawks, Perth WA.
* Scotch College, Melbourne VIC.
* Whittlesea Pacers, Melbourne VIC.
* St Patrick's College, Sydney NSW.

Last December and January, Horizons conducted the following successful high school basketball tours to the USA:

* Canberra Grammar School, Canberra ACT.
* Haileybury College, Melbourne VIC.
* Melbourne Tigers, Melbourne VIC
* Newington College, Sydney NSW.
* Northern Country, NSW
* Queensland ITCP, QLD.

Combined Group Tour - Indiana and Kentucky

In addition the tour groups above, Horizons Sporting Events also provides opportunities for individual players to join one of our combined tour groups. This is the 4th year of conducting these exciting tour experiences.

The Indiana and Kentucky Tour will depart on Monday 5 December and return on Friday 23 December. During the 19 days, the Varsity Boys (18 and under) and Junior Varsity Boys (16 and under) will compete in a series of games and experience the culture, sights and attractions in a great region for basketball.

In addition, this group will also attend a Milwaukee Bucks game and will have the opportunity to see Andrew Bogut in action against Lebron James and the Cavs.

Combined Group Tour - North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina

Once again, this tour has received a fantastic response with 6 teams departing on Tuesday 27 December: Varsity Boys x 2, Junior Varsity Boys x 2, Varsity Girls and Junior Varsity Girls.

This 19 day tour will receive excellent competition and hosting experiences.
The USA High Schools, many who we have played in the past, enjoy the cultural and social experience as much as our teams from Australia.
This group will also have the opportunity to see the NCAA National Champions in action - University of North Carolina (UNC).
